Dental implants are an increasingly popular way of replacing missing teeth. Rather than choosing dentures or bridge, which are not as strong or durable, many patients are turning to dental implants as a long-term means of tooth replacement. Implants can be used to replace one or all of a patients' teeth.

A dental implant consists of an artificial root, which is implanted into the jawbone, and a replacement tooth. The new tooth root is often made of titanium, a substance that is strong and well-tolerated by the body. Once the root is implanted and the jawbone and gums have healed, the replacement tooth is attached to the new artificial root.

Dental implants look natural and restore biting and chewing power. Many patients can enjoy biting into a crisp apple again after having implants. Their attractive appearance can also renew confidence and self-esteem.

If you think dental implants sound like an potentially good option for you, please contact Dr. SenGupta to learn more!

Crooked, stained, or chipped teeth can be unsightly, but fixing them has never been easier! With porcelain veneers and composite bonding, correcting problems and achieving your dream smile go hand-in-hand.

Veneers are thin porcelain shells that can be laid on top of damaged teeth. Veneers can be used as a sort of "instant orthodontics," making crooked teeth straight right away. Durable and attractive, veneers can also be used to make teeth look whiter or to hide cracks, chips, or other damage. For many people, veneers prove to be an ideal way to create a beautiful smile.

Bonding is a simple solution to the problem of cracked, chipped, gapped, or discolored teeth. Using a special bonding material (often a composite resin), Dr. SenGupta can fill in spaces between teeth and hide and repair damaged or stained teeth. The bonding material is painted onto the teeth; it does not require any of the original tooth to be removed.

Whether you and Dr. SenGupta select bonding or veneers, you can be certain that your smile is in good hands! If you are ready to improve your smile's appearance, please contact Dr. SenGupta to schedule an appointment.

More extensive damage to the teeth, such as significant decay, may necessitate the use of crowns or bridges rather than veneers or bonding material. Fortunately, porcelain crowns and bridge provide a beautiful and natural appearance that can make a smile more attractive while restoring health and functionality.

Crowns have been called "porcelain jackets," because they fit over the top of damaged teeth. In most cases, the damaged tooth structure will first be removed, and then the new crown will be placed. Crowns are long-lasting and look great!

Bridges are a great way to discreetly replace teeth that are missing or removed due to damage or decay. A bridge consists of a replacement tooth and two crowns that can slip over the teeth on either side of the gap where the missing tooth used to be. The result? A natural looking smile that is even, healthy, and beautiful!

Cavities and decay are unfortunate but not uncommon. Luckily, inlays and onlays are effective solutions that can stop cavity pain and restore good health and chewing strength to back teeth.

Inlays are carefully designed fillings that fit precisely into the back teeth. We can provide you with ceramic inlays that look entirely natural, so no one will ever suspect that you have had a filling.

Onlays can be used when decay is too extensive for an inlay. Onlays cover the entire surface of a damaged back tooth, providing protection and strength. Like inlays, onlays can be made of realistic-looking ceramic.

If you think that you may be a candidate for inlays or onlays, please contact Dr. SenGupta today. You'll be amazed at the results!

Having straight teeth and a proper bite can be important for health and appearance. While crooked teeth may not have aesthetic appeal, a misaligned bite can cause headaches, TMJ, and speech problems. Orthodontics can straighten teeth and correct bite problems.

Many people associate orthodontics with two things: braces and kids. But, in fact, advances in dentistry have made orthodontic care a viable option for kids, teens, and adults alike.

If you are interested in learning more about the orthodontic care we offer, please contact us today. You can have the kind of smile you've always wanted!

Endodontics is more commonly known as root canal treatment. If an injury or deep tooth decay causes the pulp inside your tooth to become inflamed, you may need to undergo endodontic treatment. Although the pulp (which consists of nerve cells and blood vessels) is important to the tooth during its initial growth, it can later be removed if it becomes infected or irritated.

Root canal treatment works to remove decay and alleviate the pain associated with a tooth injury or deep decay.

Many people's mouths do not have enough room for their wisdom teeth, and so extracting them is the best decision. If the jawbone doesn't offer enough room for the wisdom teeth to fully emerge, they may only partially break through the gum line This can open up delicate tissue to infection. Wisdom teeth may also push other teeth out or aside or may become impacted under the gum line

Wisdom teeth surgery can help to correct or prevent these problems by removing the wisdom teeth. Generally, wisdom teeth begin to emerge in a person's late teens or early twenties.

If you would like more information about wisdom teeth surgery or to schedule an appointment, please contact Dr. SenGupta today. Protect your smile and your good health!
